Unicorn Stage, a new event space in the Beato Innovation District at Unicorn Factory Lisbon

Unicorn Factory Lisbon has inaugurated the Unicorn Stage, a multi-purpose space in the Beato Innovation District, designed to host events related to entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and cultural programming. With approximately 400 m² and a capacity for 520 people, this new venue reinforces the Unicorn Factory's ambition to promote Lisbon as a global platform for innovation and talent.

Developed by the Lisbon City Council, the Unicorn Stage emerges as a response to the growing demand for versatile and high-quality spaces. The new infrastructure allows for the organization of everything from conferences to shows and other initiatives related to entrepreneurship and culture.

“The Unicorn Stage is an open space for the city that serves as a showcase for the dynamism of the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem, where technology meets culture and where ideas gain scale. It is with this vision and commitment that we conceived this new space for the Unicorn Factory,” emphasizes Gil Azevedo, executive director of Unicorn Factory Lisbon.

The debut of this new space in Beato was marked by the official inauguration event of the EIT Community Hub, a platform of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), which was attended by Durão Barroso, who reinforced the need for Portugal and Europe to invest in and scale up innovation so that they can compete with the United States and China.

This new European Union hub aims to bring the Portuguese ecosystem closer to the EIT's European programs, strengthen cooperation between leading business, educational and research organizations, and address the European innovation gap, increasing the competitiveness of Portugal and Europe and contributing to sustainable economic growth. The platform will offer entrepreneurs a centralized source of information on the various services and opportunities offered by the EIT community in all EU Member States and countries associated with the Horizon Europe program.
