Tribeca Festival Lisbon takes place, for the first time in Europe, in the Beato Innovation District
The first European edition of Tribeca, the New York festival founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, takes place in Lisbon, here at the Beato Innovation District, on October 18th and 19th. Co-produced by SIC, OPTO, and the Lisbon City Council, and with the support of Turismo de Portugal, the Tribeca Festival Lisbon presents some of the best winners from the 2024 festival circuit, including independent films from the United States, Portuguese films, series, podcasts, musical performances, and live conversations with international and national stars such as Whoopi Goldberg, Patty Jenkins, Griffin Dunne, Chaz Palminteri, Ricardo Araújo Pereira, Daniela Ruah, César Mourão, Ricardo Pereira, among many others.
“Every year, our goal is to unite communities, spark creativity, and inspire new waves of innovation. It means a lot to us to bring this same spirit to Lisbon – a city bubbling with renewed cultural and economic promise,” says American actor Robert De Niro. It is no coincidence that leading Portuguese entrepreneurs such as André Luís, founder and CEO of Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn, Nuno Sebastião, President and CEO of FeedZai, and Virgílio Bento, founder and CEO of Sword Health, are part of the panel of invited speakers sharing their visions in the field of innovation, contributing to a dynamic and trend-exploring festival.
