From fresh to cured, from buttery to unexpected - on May 24th, Praça Beato transforms into the cheese capital.
It's the Cheese Festival, an event that brings together dozens of producers from all over the country, from Trás-os-Montes to São Jorge, with cheeses made from goat's, sheep's and cow's milk. A day dedicated to tastings, direct purchases, conversations with master cheesemakers and flavors for all tastes.
In this edition, the guest chef is Marco Nascimento, from Alma Nómada in Porto Covo, who has prepared exclusive dishes designed to highlight the best of our cheeses at the table. And, of course, everything is perfectly paired with selected wines.
In the afternoon, there's a talk with experts — because cheese is also tasted with the mind.
The event is curated by Edgardo Pacheco, a food journalist and a true food lover.
