Unicorn Factory Lisboa, located in the Beato Innovation District, will host the Portuguese leg of the Startup World Cup, the world's largest international startup competition.

The event, promoted by Pegasus Tech Ventures, will take place on September 10th and 11th, 2025, bringing together 50 high-potential national startups who will present their projects to a jury of experts, institutional partners, and investors.

After 15 semi-finalists are chosen, one of them will represent Portugal in the world final, scheduled for October 17th in Silicon Valley, with the chance to win a prize worth $1 million in direct investment.

The Startup World Cup takes place annually in over 100 cities across 70 countries, attracting around 10,000 applications from startups in various fields such as health, energy, education, technology, finance, and entertainment. In total, the events involve more than 50,000 participants globally.
