Taking place in person at the Lisbon Museum - Milling Factory located in the Unicorn Factory Lisbon - Beato Innovation District, PLAST-C is a course focused on the preservation of collections with plastic objects, a material that represents a growing challenge for cultural heritage professionals due to its chemical diversity, difficulty of identification, variable aging, and lack of effective conservation strategies.
This three-day theoretical and practical course aims to promote best conservation practices, addressing essential topics such as the history, identification, degradation, and preservation of plastics. Through collaborative exercises and dynamic discussions, participants will develop a solid technical foundation.
