Afrolink joins Casa Capitão, with Mercado, O Tal Podcast, Cinema and Exhibition
On the upcoming International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is celebrated on March 21st, Afrolink joins Casa Capitão for a Saturday of awareness and celebration.
The program's theme is the poem "Let My People Pass," by Mozambican poet Noémia de Sousa, in a tribute that evokes the centenary of her birth and also commemorates World Poetry Day, also celebrated on March 21st.
Between the anti-racist struggle and poetry, the activities begin at 11 am with a special edition of the Afrolink Market and end at 8 pm with a tribute to the Black presence in Portugal, stemming from the latest commemoration of "Black History Month".
Along the way, we'll have a live episode of O Tal Podcast, followed by a short film session, concluding with a conversation with the authors, as part of the "Democracy in Action" project.
Entry is free, and the collective challenge is: “Let My People Pass,” as Noémia de Sousa poetically expressed, inspiring us to acknowledge the racist landmarks of the past, to confront the racial marks of the present, and to raise our voices to tell and sing of tomorrows!
March 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
